Down-Hole Oil Field Pump - Oklahoma, USA
This compact (6"[152.4mm] outside diameter) reducer is used to drive a down-hole oil field pump. The implementation of the Byrne Gear unit allows for the utilization of larger horsepower systems.

Auger Drive on Larger Diameter, Horizontal, Earth Boring Machines - Miami. Florida
The construction of underground sewer and water lines was made simpler with the mass introduction of horizontal earth-boring machines in the 1960's. Byrne Gear units drives thousands of these machines around the world. In this picture a 72" (1,828.8mm) tunnel is being installed in Miami, Florida - USA with a boring machine manufactured by Michael Byrne Manufacturing Company of Mansfield, Ohio.

Grinder Drives - Pennsylvania, USA, Hungary, Canada
This grinder unit used for downsizing various materials utilizes two Byrne Gear reducers to drive the grinding discs. Material is efficiently reduced in size to less than 1/2" (12.7mm) diameter.

Mixing Auger Drives - USA
A mixing tank with steam-heated thermal zones utilizes four Byrne Gear reducers to drive the mixing augers. The mixing action of the augers in combination with the heated thermal zones mixes the product to the intended consistency so that it can be pumped into either rail or over-the-road tankers.

Grinding-Mixing System - USA
This two-stage grinding and combination mixing system utilized seven Byrne Gear reducer units to drive the screw conveyors, grinder and mixing tank. This efficient use of hydraulically driven, Byrne Gear reducers made for an easily controlled system that was highly productive.
